Geneene was challenged with filling a newly created position when she was hired in February 2012 as a part-time secretary at our warehouse on State Street in Hamden. Hired to fill a position where one would typically expect to work in a quiet office environment as a secretary, Gigi, as we know her, embraced the clang and clatter of tow motors, balers, tippers and compactors all operating at once just outside of her door.

Gigi brought a delightful taste of her zaniness to a tough work environment and embraced her role from day #1. Gigi quickly became indispensable, taking on more tasks than was initially intended for her position and was promoted to a full-time position as Administrative Assistant in November 2014. Today, we’re not sure how the warehouse operated without her!
