WILD is a 6 month program which runs Monday – Friday with a student enrolling in either English as a Second Language (ESL) or Adult Basic Education (ABE) classes.  The program continues until the student has either completed six months of training or has obtained employment. The goal of WILD is to lead enrolled individuals to academic success, job placement and retention. The program is designed to provide an integrated approach combining adult education and hands-on-technical training.  Eligible individuals will have skills below the 6th grade level with limited work experience or below an 8th grade level with no work experience, limited English proficiency or basic skills, and they must be referred by the Department of Human Services.

  • Basic Computer Literacy

  • 80 hours of work experience
  • Career Exploration through field trips and guest speakers

PowerPath Assessment –This is an assessment that will help individuals understand their own learning, how to select and apply needed adaptations and strategies both academically and vocationally to maximize personal control and success.
